• What is Armored Optical Cable
        An armored optical cable is a special optical cable with a protective stainless steel armor tube wrapped around the fiber core. The metal armor layer effectively protects the fiber core from animal biting, moisture corrosion and various external damages.
        While retaining the transmission performance of ordinary optical cables, armored optical cables feature stronger mechanical protection, more solid structure, stable performance and longer service life.
• Structure of Armored Optical Cable
        Outer Sheath: Usually made of polyethylene and other plastic materials, it resists abrasion and solvent erosion, and isolates external environmental damage.
        Metal Armor Layer: Located between the outer sheath and inner sheath. With high structural strength, it is bite-proof, cut-resistant, flame retardant and tension-resistant, preventing cable damage during laying and construction.
        Inner Protective Layer: Taking the 12-core armored optical cable as an example, it contains 12 optical fibers and an inner sheath. An aramid layer is added between the metal armor and outer sheath to further improve tensile strength and protection.
