This guide takes the Ruijie RG-S6510-48VS8CQ-X switch (Software Version: S6500-X86_RGOS 11.0(5)B9P63) as the test device to introduce the configuration of QSFP interface breakout and aggregation on Ruijie RG-S6510 series switches.
1. By default, all QSFP interfaces work in aggregation mode. When viewing interface information, only one standalone interface is displayed. The interface speed is set to auto by default and can be manually configured to 40G or 100G.
2. Enter global configuration mode and run the following command to split aggregated QSFP interfaces:
split interface <interface-type> <interface-number>
This switch does not support optional breakout modes. After entering the command, save the configuration and reboot the device to make the configuration take effect.
Note: The parameter <interface-type> <interface-number> indicates the type and number of the port installed with the optical module.
You can use the following command to query interface basic information, including speed and duplex mode:
show interface
3. After completing the breakout configuration, check the interface status. The original single physical interface will be split into 4 logical interfaces, with a default speed of 25G for each logical port.
4. To enable 4×10G breakout mode, enter the logical interface configuration view and manually set the port speed to 10G. Only one logical interface needs speed modification; the remaining three interfaces will automatically synchronize the same speed configuration.
5. To disable breakout and restore aggregation mode, enter global configuration mode and execute:
no split interface <interface-type> <interface-number>
Save the configuration and reboot the device. The interface will revert to the factory default aggregation state.
