When handling customer fault complaints, we first ask customers to provide compatibility information such as Link status, module recognition and DOM data of the faulty module on the switch, which facilitates fault location. However, customers often do not know which commands to use to check such information. Therefore, this article summarizes the commands for checking optical module compatibility on mainstream switches in the market for easy reference. (Note: "[Interface-Id]" in the following content refers to the port number of the switch where the module is inserted.)
1. Cisco
Taking the Cisco C9500-24Y4C switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: show interfaces status
② Module recognition: show inventory
③ DOM data: show interfaces transceiver
Figure 1: Cisco C9500-24Y4C Switch
2. Huawei
Taking the Huawei CE6860 switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: display interface [interface-id]
② Module recognition: display interface [interface-id] transceiver
③ DOM data: display interface [interface-id] transceiver brief

3. H3C
Taking the H3C S6820 switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: display interfaces [interface-id]
② Module recognition: display transceiver interface [interface-id]
③ DOM data: display transceiver diagnosis interface [interface-id]

4. Arista
Taking the Arista 7160-48YC6 switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: show interfaces status
② Module recognition: show inventory
③ DOM data: show interfaces transceiver

5. Juniper
Taking the Juniper QFX5100 switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: show interfaces [interface-id]
② Module recognition: show chassis hardware
③ DOM data: show interfaces diagnostics optics [interface-id]

6. Extreme
Taking the Extreme X690-48x switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: show ports [interface-id] configuration
② Module recognition: show ports [interface-id] configuration
③ DOM data: show ports [interface-id] transceiver information

7. Brocade
Taking the Brocade ICX6650 switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: show interfaces brief
② Module recognition: show media
③ DOM data: show optical

8. Ruijie
Taking the Ruijie S6510-48VS8CQ switch as an example, its compatibility commands are as follows:
① Link status: show interfaces [interface-id] status
② Module recognition: show interfaces [interface-id] transceiver
③ DOM data: show interfaces [interface-id] transceiver diagnosis
