NVIDIA/Mellanox provides the MMA2P00-AS optical module, which supports 25G Ethernet transmission up to 100 m over multimode fiber. Moduletek Laboratory has tested the prototype of this product to help users better understand its performance specifications and actual on-board application performance.
1. Product Overview
The Mellanox MMA2P00-AS optical module supports a link length of 100 m over standard 50/125 μm multimode fiber (MMF) when FEC negotiation is enabled on the host. The official key parameters and physical appearance of the module are as follows:

2. On-Board Module Identification
The MMA2P00-AS module was installed into a Mellanox MCX4121A-ACAT network adapter with a fiber patch cord. The module established a normal link, and the port indicator was lit.
Module information including type, model, vendor name, serial number, wavelength, and transmission distance was correctly recognized by the system. DOM data could be read normally and all values were within threshold ranges, with no alarms.

3. Key Module Parameter Testing
a. Performance indicators of the MMA2P00-AS sample module were tested on a test board at a module case temperature of 45 ℃. The test results are shown below:
