Moduletek Laboratory recently purchased a SEEKER (Xike) SKS7300-8GPY4XGS managed switch. This report provides a brief teardown and analysis to show its internal structure.

        The front panel includes 8× 2.5G RJ45 ports, 4× 10G SFP ports, one RJ45 serial port, and status indicators. The rear panel is equipped with a power port, and air vents are located on both sides of the chassis.

        A DB9-to-RJ45 serial cable was used to connect the switch to a host PC, with a baud rate of 9600 bps. Default credentials: username admin, no password. When a Moduletek 10G LR module is installed, port status can be checked normally, but the switch does not recognize module types.
        After removing the top cover, the internal layout is divided into two main sections: a main PCB integrating chips, resistors, heat dissipation components and other parts, and a separate power board. Four transformers (GROUP-TEK HST-48503SCR) are mounted in parallel near the front panel.

        With the fan and heat sink removed, the main switch chip (Realtek RTL9302C) and memory chip (Samsung K4B4G1646E-BCMA) are visible. Beneath the heat sink next to the transformers are two 4-port 2.5G PHY chips manufactured by MaxLinear.
