Reading internal transceiver parameters helps monitor link status, real-time TX/RX optical power, temperature and coding compatibility between transceivers and switches. This document uses Moduletek SFP-25G-SR (Aruba compatible) transceiver connected to Aruba 6300M JL662A switch to demonstrate detailed query steps.

1. View Port Link Status
        Run the command:
            show interfaces <interface-name>
It displays interface configuration, transceiver type and link status. Status UP indicates normal transceiver operation. Traffic statistics are provided for fault troubleshooting.
Note: interface-name stands for slot and port ID. You can run show interface brief to view port information. Omitting parameters will display all port data.
2. Encoding Identification & Authentication Information And DDM
        • Query Transceiver Encoding Identification & Authentication Information
        Run the command:
            show interface <interface-name> transceiver detail
It includes module type, model, vendor, serial number, wavelength and factory hardware data. Transceiver Status shows official module authentication result.
        • Check Real-Time Transceiver DDM Diagnostic Data
It outputs real-time DDM values and corresponding alarm threshold ranges, so you can judge abnormal operation status of transceivers on both ends of the link.
