Intel offers the E25GSFP28SR optical transceiver, which supports 10G/25G Ethernet transmission up to 100 meters over multimode fiber. Moduletek Laboratory conducted sampling tests on this product to further understand its performance indicators and real-world application effect.
1. Product Introduction
The Intel E25GSFP28SR optical transceiver supports a link length of 70/100 meters on OM3/OM4 multimode fiber and operates within a commercial temperature range of 0-70℃. The official key parameters and physical appearance of the transceiver are as follows:

2. Transceiver Identification
Insert the Intel E25GSFP28SR transceiver into the Intel E810XXVDA2BLK 25G dual-port fiber-optic network card and connect the fiber jumper. The transceiver can establish a normal link with the port indicator lit; the network card can recognize the transceiver information, including transceiver type, vendor name, model number, serial number, rate, transmission distance, etc. DOM data can be read normally, and all DOM data are within the threshold range with no alarm phenomenon.

3. Transceiver Key Parameters Test
The performance indicators of the Intel E25GSFP28SR sample transceiver on the test board were tested under the condition that the transceiver case temperature was 45℃ in the laboratory. The test results are as follows:
