Aruba launches the R0Z25A high-speed DAC cable, designed for short-distance 100G Ethernet applications. Moduletek Laboratory has conducted prototype testing on this product to fully evaluate its performance specifications and actual deployment performance.
1. Product Introduction
        The Aruba R0Z25A high-speed cable supports a 1-meter transmission distance for 100G copper connections. The official key specifications and physical appearance are shown below.

2. Cable Identification Test
        Connect the R0Z25A high-speed cable to an Aruba 8325-48y8c switch. The link connects normally and port indicators light up. The switch can accurately read cable information from both ends, including cable type, model, vendor, serial number and transmission distance. No system alarms are generated.

3. Key Performance Test
    3.1 S-Parameter Test
        At room temperature, a network analyzer was used to test the S-parameters of both cable ends. The test results are as follows:

        In accordance with the IEEE 802.3-2022 cable insertion loss classification, the maximum insertion loss of the Aruba R0Z25A is 10.04dB, which meets the CA-25G-N no-FEC cable standard. It is suitable for interconnection between two PHYs operating without FEC. For detailed cable classification descriptions, please refer to the Classification Of 25G DAC FEC Classes .

    3.2 Differential Impedance Test
        An oscilloscope was used to test the differential impedance of both cable ends at room temperature. All test results meet the 100 ohm differential impedance requirement. Partial channel test data are listed below.
