The Huawei CloudEngine 6820H series switches are next-generation high-performance, high-density access switches of Huawei company designed for data centers. Which can support multi-chassis link aggregation (M-LAG) , enhance network reliability , support ZTP/Ansible automated configuration and simplify device management and maintenance.
The Moduletek Laboratory purchased a Huawei CE6820H-48S6CQ-B switch, which can test the 1G/10G SFP+ and 40G/100G QSFP28 product series. Now, let's take you through the unboxing and acceptance check.

The device packaging includes one host, two external power supply modules, four fan modules, accessories including rails, screws, and rack mounting brackets, interface dust caps, certificate of conformity/documentation guide, power cable, and grounding wire.

The front panel primarily features 48 10G SFP+ ports and 6 100G QSFP28 ports; the rear panel primarily includes one USB port, one RJ45 serial port, one Ethernet management port, and fan power supply.

Connect the power cord to power up the device, and it starts up without noticeable noise. ZTP (Zero-Touch Deployment) is automatically opened after the device is started, and ZTP can be closed by executing the command "set ztp disable" in user mode.
Use an RJ45-to-DB9 serial cable to connect to the console of switch. The device has a default baud rate of 9600, with no initial username or password. Log in to the console and execute the command "display version" to check the device model and system version information.
Use the 100G LR4 optical module of Moduletek to connect to the QSFP28 port, and the module type can be recognized normally.
