Huawei CloudEngine 6820H series are next-generation high-performance, high-density data center access switches. They support Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (M-LAG) to improve network reliability, as well as ZTP and Ansible automatic configuration functions, simplifying device management and maintenance.
Moduletek Laboratory has purchased a Huawei CE6820H-48S6CQ-B switch for testing 1G/10G SFP+ and 40G/100G QSFP28 optical module series. This article presents the complete unboxing and acceptance process.

The package contains one main switch unit, two external power modules, four fan modules, and a full set of accessories including rack rails, fixing screws, mounting brackets, port dust caps, certificate of conformity, user documentation, power cable and grounding wire.

The front panel is equipped with 48 × 10G SFP+ ports and 6 × 100G QSFP28 ports. The rear panel is fitted with one USB port, one RJ45 console port, one Ethernet management port, plus fan and power module slots.

Connect the power cable to power on the device. The switch runs steadily with low noise.
ZTP (Zero-Touch Deployment) is enabled automatically after startup. Run the following command in user view to disable ZTP:
set ztp disable
Use an RJ45-to-DB9 serial cable to connect a PC to the switch console port.
Default baud rate: 9600
No default username or password is required for login.
After logging in to the console, execute the following command to check device model and system version:
display version
Install the Moduletek 100G LR4 optical module into the QSFP28 port; the switch can correctly identify the module model and related information.
