Aruba switches perform authentication on connected optical modules by default. If a non-Aruba original module is detected, the switch may take actions such as disabling the port or triggering an alarm prompt. Aruba also provides a dedicated command to enable the use of third-party optical modules on its switches.
This guide uses the Aruba 3810M switch as an example to introduce the steps to enable support for third-party modules on Aruba switches:
    1. When a third-party module is connected to an Aruba switch, the module fails to link up, the port indicator flashes orange, and the switch identifies the module as Unsupported.
        2. Enter system-view to enable third-party module support on the switch, then run this command:
            allow-unsupported-transceiver
Note: This is a hidden command. It cannot be queried with the ? key or auto-completed with the Tab key. Before executing this command, you must remove the connected third-party module. Otherwise, you will need to reinsert the module or reboot the switch for the device to recognize third-party optical modules.
        3. After enabling third-party module support, reconnect the module; it will link up normally. The switch will label the module as a third-party module in its identification information.
        4. To disable third-party module support, enter system-view and run this command:
            no allow-unsupported-transceiver
