We have shared transceiver query methods for mainstream switches such as Huawei, H3C and Cisco. Fortinet switches use distinctive CLI commands. We connect Moduletek SFP-GE-SX transceiver to Fortinet FS-108D-PoE switch to demonstrate query operations of port status and transceiver data.
1. Port Link & Transceiver Working Status
Run command:
get switch physical-port
It displays port speed, duplex mode and link status. Link-status UP means normal link and transceiver operation.
2. Transceiver Identification Information
Run command:
get switch modules detail
It reads built-in EEPROM data, including transceiver type, package, transmission distance, serial number and manufacturer details.
3. Transceiver DDM Data & Alarm Thresholds
Run command:
get switch modules status
It shows real-time DDM values and alarm thresholds. Check TX/RX optical power, temperature and bias current to verify operation status of transceivers on both ends.
