Moduletek has newly launched the SFP-25G-ER-I-C10 optical module, which supports 25G Ethernet transmission up to 40 km over single-mode fiber. Moduletek Laboratory has tested the prototype of this product to help readers better understand its performance indicators and actual on-board application effect.
1. Product Overview
        The Moduletek SFP-25G-ER-I-C10 optical module supports a link length of 40 km on standard G.652 single-mode fiber (SMF) at 25G, and operates over the industrial temperature range (-40~85℃).
        The module requires RS-FEC to be enabled on the host port for full-range operation at 25G.

2. On-Board Module Identification
        The SFP-25G-ER-I-C10 module was installed into a Cisco N9K-C93180YC-EX switch with a 10 dB attenuated patch cord.
        The module achieved a normal LINK status with the port indicator on; module information including type, vendor name, model, serial number, rate and transmission distance was correctly recognized by the switch.
        DOM data was readable and all values were within the threshold range with no alarms.

3. Key Module Parameter Testing
        Three-temperature tests were performed on the SFP-25G-ER-I-C10 sample module using a test board. The results are as follows:

        Optical eye diagram testing was performed on the sample module at a housing temperature of 85℃.

        Based on actual test results, the key parameters of the module comply with Moduletek’s datasheet definition and are comparable to the performance of similar official Cisco modules.
