The Optical Module Compatibility Of Cisco SFP-1G-LH

CISCO has an optical module product with the model number SFP-1G-LH, which supports 1G connections on 10G switch interfaces. The Moduletek Limited Laboratory tested a sample of this product to help everyone better understand its actual performance when used in practice.
1. Product Overview
The Cisco SFP-1G-LH module is compatible with 10G ports but not with ports operating at only 1G speeds. The official description and physical appearance of the module are as follows:

THE SFP-1G-LH module operates in 10G, 10/25G dual rate and 10/25/50G tri-rate ports of Cisco switches and routers but provides 1G connectivity . The SFP-1G-LH interoperates with 1000BASE-LX/LH modules.
The SFP -1G- LH module will only operate in 10G capable ports and will not operate in 1G only ports.

2. Module Performance in Use
The SFP-1G-LH module was connected to a Cisco C9500X-60L40 switch (version: IOS XE 17.14.01), The device's SFP ports support 10/25/50G. The module can establish a normal link at 1G speed and successfully transmit data after using fiber optical fiber to connect to the GLC-LH-SMD module on the Cisco WS-C3560CX-8XPD-S switch ; the module information is correctly recognized by the switch, such as module type and serial number, with no alarms and DOM data is normal.

3. Which devices support the module?
Not all 10-Gigabit switches of CISCO support the SFP-1G-LH module. Based on official CISCO documentation, Moduletek Limited Laboratory has compiled the following list of platforms that support the use of the SFP-1G-LH module.
